Farmersville High School Aztec Band Makes History at CMEA Festival
The Farmersville High School Aztec Band reached a historic milestone at the CMEA Band Festival in Porterville after months of preparation. Bands performed for a panel of music educators who provided ratings and feedback.
The Aztec Band earned an EXCELLENT (II) rating—the highest in Farmersville Unified School District history. Previous records show no rating above “Good (III),” making this a significant achievement.
This honor reflects the students’ dedication and growth, along with the strong culture of the band program. Special thanks go to Band Director Dagny McIntosh for her leadership and commitment.
Farmersville Unified proudly celebrates the Aztec Band for their hard work and representation of their community.
Our FHS students competed in the Tulare/Kings County competition & brought home 3 out of 4 awards! 🎉

Five FHS FFA students competed in the AgWest Agri-Finance contest, where they were tested on finance, loans, and business concepts in agriculture. They earned 2nd High Team along with prize money that will be divided into senior-year scholarships & Epifanio took 1st High Individual!

The Sequoias Adult School Consortium Board has approved an update to the graduation credit requirement. The FUSD Board has also approved aligning with this change.
The curriculum and credit requirements will follow the guidelines established by the California Department of Education, ensuring students receive a comprehensive, state-recognized education. As a result, the program now adheres to the state minimum credit requirement for graduation.
